WebI was told an iron test didn’t seem necessary after my PCP reviewed a recent CBC. I hadn’t even heard of ferritin, so didn’t request it. My requested B12 test was allowed though because I eat a largely vegetarian diet (tested low end of normal range and started supplementing afterwards). I do eat quite a lot of iron-rich food.
