WebI was just reading about soft reconfiguration inbound benefits and disadvantages and it came to my mind one question. Why does the router need to create a 2nd copy of the table and store it in memory to apply filters any time I want instead of having only one table and mark as filtered or unused the the routes that are matched by the new filter? I really need the Firewall to update its BGP routes dynamically without me having to manually soft or hard reset the BGP neighbor ship. At least I can't find anything on the matter in the config guide. With this setting in place, the router will store a copy of all prefixes received from neighbor 192.0.2.2—including the ones that are filtered out.
