Velocity is 1825 FPS and I get 0ne inch three shot groups at 100 yards with both loads. That load with the Hornady 350 gr. RNFP have taken 4 bison and 1 hog with one shot each. It is also a match for the 444 Marlin and 45-70, IOW, the burn rate and expansion ratio of the bore are in harmony, so to speak. It can be used in bunch of different cartridges, but in most it will not yield your maximum velocity.

ONLY - and ONLY - for the Rugers do they list a load to include IMR-4198. The CUP pressure levels are very high - starting off at 22,100 and topping off at 34,900 CUP.
