WebOct 10, 2024 · The first case is Animation tied to FPS, the second is Animation tied to Time (I'll call these AFPS and TFPS) TFPS can be seen in Mobas alot, league of legends, heroes of the storm, smite, Dota2, and so forth. in these games you can have unlimited FPS, because FPS doesn't affect game speed, it just affects how smoothe things run at. It's nothing new though, as this type of thing was done for a while before this IP was created.

So if a game runs at 60Hz, then every 16 or so milliseconds, it'll run the logic. If it can complete this within say 500 microseconds, this gives the CPU 15.5 milliseconds to compile and send GPU commands.
