WebSep 3, 2010 · In Brooklyn in 1955, four students of Lincoln High, Neil Sedaka, Hank Medress, Eddie Rabkin and Cynthia Zolotin, started a doowop group called the Linc-Tones. After Rabkin left in '56 he was replaced by Jay Siegel. The group's first record was cut in '57. Eventually the Lincs became the Tokens, but this was after Neil's departure.
